About this event
Why it matters: A developer proposes to put 200 new residential units on 300 acres of untouched woodlands, involving blasting outcrops and wetlands impacts. The priceless site contains boulders, balancing rocks and petroglyphs of extreme importance to Indigenous communities. Federally Recognized Tribes in Massachusetts have come out against this project. The project will involve significant blasting of culturally sensitive areas. The November 19 ZBA meeting will host a discussion about the archeological resources on the site.
How you can help: Read our blog to get the project details. Attend the ZBA hearing and demand a complete Phase I archeological investigation on this property and a respect for the extensive Indigenous presence on the site.
