Welcome to A Mind to Write!

We're a friendly writing group that meets every Monday morning to settle our attention and step gently into our creative weeks.

Monday mornings can feel overwhelming, but they are also a beautiful blank canvas. If you struggle to find the time or structure to write alone, this friendly weekly circle will anchor you gently into a creative week. This is a space designed to help you slow down and write freely. There is no pressure, just a warm environment where you can take creative risks and build a sustainable, nourishing writing practice.

Whether you are picking up a pen for the first time in years or are an experienced writer looking for gentle weekly accountability, you will leave every session with fresh words on the page.

What We Do in Our 90 Minutes:

Mindfulness & Readings:

Grounding exercises and inspiring, varied prose and poems.

Creative Prompts:

Activities to get your imagination moving.

Quiet Writing Blocks:

Dedicated, focused time to make real progress.

Warm Connections:

An optional, relaxed space to share how you got on.

About Your Facilitator

Sessions are led by

Dr Rosemarie Corlett-author, English & Creative Writing lecturer, and former

Plymouth Poet Laureate. Rosemarie is dedicated to helping you develop a friendlier, more consistent relationship with your creativity.
